By downloading or using Baby4KeepSafe, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Permissions We Use

Baby4KeepSafe requires the following device permissions to function:

Camera — used to capture and stream live video from the baby's room to the parent device over your local network. Video is never transmitted to external servers.
Microphone — used to detect sound levels (baby crying) and to enable two-way audio (talkback). Audio is streamed only within your local network and is never recorded or stored.
Local Network Access — used to stream video and audio between two devices on the same Wi-Fi network. No data leaves your local network.
Notifications — used to alert the parent device when sound, motion, or face detection is triggered.

3. Information We Collect

Information stored locally on your device:

App preferences (language, theme, sound threshold, stream quality)
Saved device list (IP addresses of previously connected devices)
In-app purchase status (e.g. whether ads have been removed)

This data is stored only on your device using Android's SharedPreferences system and is never transmitted to our servers.

Camera and microphone data:

All video and audio streams are transmitted exclusively between your two devices over your local Wi-Fi network. We do not have access to, record, or store any camera or microphone data. No video or audio ever leaves your home network.

Information collected by third-party services:

Google AdMob — used to display advertisements in the free version. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Play Billing — used to process in-app purchases. Purchase data is handled by Google Play. See Google Play's policies.
Google ML Kit — used locally on-device for face detection. No images or data are sent to Google's servers. See ML Kit terms.

4. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, or location. We do not operate any backend servers that receive data from our apps. Your camera and microphone data never leaves your local network.

5. Advertising

Baby4KeepSafe displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. These ads may be personalized based on your interests as determined by Google. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings:

Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

Purchasing the "Remove Ads" option will disable all advertisements within the application.

6. In-App Purchases

Baby4KeepSafe offers an optional "Remove Ads" purchase processed through Google Play. We do not have access to your payment information. All transactions are handled securely by Google Play.

The "Remove Ads" purchase is non-consumable and permanently associated with your Google Play account. It can be restored if you reinstall the app.

7. Children's Privacy

Baby4KeepSafe is designed as a parenting tool for adults. The app itself is not directed to children under the age of 13 as users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The camera and microphone are used solely for local monitoring purposes and no data is stored or transmitted externally.

8. Data Security

All streaming data (video and audio) is transmitted only within your local Wi-Fi network between your devices. Since we do not collect or transmit personal data through our own servers, your data remains on your device at all times. You can clear all locally stored data by uninstalling the application.

9. Technical Limitations & Safety Notice

⚠️ Baby4KeepSafe is an assistive monitoring tool only — NOT a standalone safety device.

Users must be aware of the following technical limitations:

Physical supervision is always required. This app does not replace the presence of a responsible adult.
Wi-Fi and network interruptions may cut the connection at any time without warning, preventing alerts from being delivered.
Battery drain on either device may terminate monitoring without notice.
Sound, motion, and face detection do not guarantee 100% accuracy. Detection errors may occur based on lighting, noise, and device conditions.
Notifications may not be delivered if the parent device is in sleep or silent mode.
Technical failures such as app crashes or device restarts may terminate monitoring without notice.
